Why We Do We Love The Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair (And You Should Also!)

Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair

The ideal robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair should be able to pull a lot of suction and brushes that won't tangle pet hair. It should come with a clever application, and be able to establish zones that are not allowed to be used.

The iRobot J7+ received the top marks in my tests of picking up dog and cat hair on hardwood floors. It also comes with an obstacle avoidance feature that is said to detect socks and cords.

1. Eufy RoboVac G30

A relative newcomer to the robot vacuum market, Eufy has gotten good reviews for its slim designs that slide under furniture that is low. The G30 is a bit larger than the 11S model, but it's still incredibly slim. It has a stronger suction, as well as mopping capabilities in a package that is less than 3 inches high. It also comes with a charging base nook that keeps the charging base hidden when not in use.

The G30 runs the application that is used by many of Eufy's other robotic devices. It's a basic app when as compared to more expensive rivals, but it does have some useful features. For example, a tapping on the Settings menu allows you to share the control of the G30 with other household members. The robot can play a song to aid in finding it. This is helpful if the robot is stuck under a couch or if it runs out of the room.

One of the most important factors to think about when choosing a robot vacuum is its ability to collect pet hair. The G30 was excellent at this task, removing both short and long hairs of dogs and cats from our test floor. It even sucked up clumps of dried cat food that the earlier Roomba 675 struggled with.

The G30 has two options to perform more specific cleaning tasks: Spot and Edge. The G30 can clean a specific area for up to two minutes by drawing a box on the floor. The former does the same thing, but pauses in between to avoid overcrowding its dustbin.

Like many robotic vacuums the G30 generates a map as it cleans it and stores it in its memory. However, it doesn't have other features that are smart like room labeling or establishing virtual no-go zones. The app allows you to set boundary strips, but they feel more like suggestions than actual boundaries. The G30 is a clever and capable robot vacuum that is available at a reasonable price.

2. Neato D9

The Neato D9 robot vacuum cleaner has a larger brush and a better dust bin. It also features smart LIDAR mapping that allows you to clean corners efficiently. It also comes with integrated sensors and an automatic docking station that can perform charging functions to keep the robot ready for use at all times.

The D9 is a significant improvement over the entry level D8 that offers more than twice the run-time and improved mapping. It also has an advanced multi-surface brush, as well as an ultra-performance filter which can collect finer particles like hair strands as well as other particles, than standard filters.

In our lab tests carpets and hard floors performed well. It also had the longest battery life, letting it to cover a large home before needing a recharge.  best robot vacuum for pet hair and carpet  D9 doesn't come with the remote control, but you can operate it manually using the power button on the unit, via your smartphone using the MyNeato app (available for Android and iOS), or with voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant.

The D9's onboard LIDAR assists the robot in mapping your home and approach cleaning in a logical pattern that is free of obstacles, which can aid in cleaning more thoroughly. The size of the robot can make it difficult to get under some tables and chairs. This makes it a bad choice for homes that have valuable antiques or collectibles. It can also climb up lamp bases or chair legs that could damage the objects or cause them to fall.

The D9, like the other models in this series, comes with a large brush that is able to pick up dirt in corners of rooms. It also comes with a Turbo mode for pets and dirt that is heavy on carpets. In our tests, we found that the D9 performed well on carpets as well as hard floors. It also did a great job in removing pet fur on both. The D9 is equipped with a HEPA filter that filters out fine particles that can cause allergies or asthma. The D9 is very easy to setup and use using the MyNeato application that makes it easy to create Zones that target areas of concern, such as food waste under the table or No-Go zones that restrict the area that robots can move, like narrow hallways.

iLife Pro 3. iLife 3s

The iLife V3s Pro is one of the top robot vacuums for pet hair on hard floors. It also has mopping modes and can traverse stairwells and other obstacles. Its slim design allows it to be easily tucked under furniture, allowing it to reach hidden dirt and pet hair in places that are difficult to reach. The automatic self-charging function helps save time when the battery is low. It will navigate back to its dock. It can be controlled via an app or the remote control.

iLife V3s Pro has many of the same features of the more expensive versions, but it costs less than half. It is able to clean low-pile flooring, stone and a variety of hardwood and tile surfaces. It can be programmed daily to clean on a regular basis and will continue to do this even if you're away from home. It has smart sensors that keep it from falling down stairs or scratching antique furniture legs. Its pearl white finish is sleek and is a great match with many designs. It's low enough that it can be easily moved under sofas and beds.

While its meager motor doesn't offer the same power as more expensive models, it does work quickly and efficiently to get rid of pet hair and other debris from floors. The V3s Pro is also capable of cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and other rooms on a daily every day.

While it doesn't come with a rotating brush The V3s Pro has a 3-inch suction opening that lets debris flow into the dust bin. Two brushes with three-spoke bristles sit on either side of the unit to help loosen the crumbs and other particles before they are removed.

The iLife V3s Pro has a cleaning performance that is comparable to the one of the iRobot Roomba and Eufy RoboVac. In comparing its results from lab tests to other robot vacuums with similar specifications and performance, they were average. It completed a single run of tests in 1 hour 31 minutes, 31 minutes, and 1 second, which is a bit slower than the iRobot Roomba and the Shark Ion R85. It was able of cleaning pet hair and other debris from bare floors but struggled on thick, high-pile carpeting or rugs.

4. Deebot X2 Omni

Ecovacs' X2 Omni robot mop and vacuum is not the latest model, however it is still a great option to clean pet hair. This robot can clean carpets and floors. It utilizes rotating washing pads that are submerged in hot, 131-degree water to help it remove pet hair and dirt. This unique feature makes the Deebot distinct from the rest of the competitors.

The robot is also adept in getting around obstacles. When it was put to the test, it easily avoided furniture legs, pet toys and even poop placed in its path. The X2 Omni's built-in camera records its obstacle avoidance, allowing you to enjoy hands-free enjoyment.

The owners love the ease of use and performance, despite being more expensive than iRobot Combo j7+. The only drawback to the X2 is that it needs an internet connection in order to function, which could be a hassle for some households.

The X2 Omni can be set up in a matter of minutes. It comes with mopping pads and a side brush that are already installed which makes it a plug and play device. It's also one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested and operates at a low noise level when in use.

The OMNI station is another essential feature of the X2 Omni. This unique docking system automatically empties and stores dust, allergens and debris for over 60 days, while it also cleans the mop and refills its water reservoir to ensure it is ready for the next cleaning job. This ensures that the mop is always an unclean and fresh surface to work on, and also prevents bacteria growth.

The X2 Omni is also equipped with a newly designed YIKO voice control, which lets you give the robot commands like "move forward, clean there", or advanced schedules. It also has a 960p camera that can be activated through the app at any point to keep an eye on home.
